WSOP: Yuri Martins Opens ITM Count in Event #05

Especially Here Martins is in full swing at the 2023 WSOP. Expectations were high for the star player last year after multiple cashes and incredible performances at four final tables. After idling in Event #02, Yuri scored his first ITM in Event #05 in Las Vegas this summer.

Top Paraná players took part in Day 2 of the $1,500 Dealers Choice 6-Way. The tournament had 456 entrants and the prize pool was 69 players. Yuri finished 49th overall for third place worth $2,825. Not a huge amount, close to what the Paranás want, but provides good preparation for a mixed game.

Event #05 shuffled 20 poker patterns, whoever chooses which game to play per hand is the am button position . Yuri revealed on Instagram that he has always chosen no-limit hold’em as his strategy. He entered a tournament where the first prize was $131,879.

When Yuri was out, big names in world poker and mixed game experts were in the running. Some examples include Dzmitry Urbanovich, David Bach, Brandon Shack-Harris, Marco Johnson, David Baker, Phil Hellmuth, Jeff Lisandro, Nacho Barbero, Chad Eveslage, Andrew Kelsall, Nick Pupillo, and John Racener.
